Pool Allocated Silver enables you to gain exposure to physical silver without the need to purchase a fabricated bar or coin. Your holding represents an interest in a pool of physical silver that is securely stored and professionally managed by Melbourne Mint. As your investment grows, you can continue purchasing additional grams or, if eligible, request conversion to physical bullion, subject to applicable fees, processing requirements and terms and conditions.

Just like buying and selling physical precious metals, Pool Allocated Silver can be sold at a later date for its value or, if you wish to take possession of your silver, a barring fee will apply. Please ask one of our friendly team members for details.

What is the ‘barring fee’?
Barring fees cover the costs of fabricating our Pool Allocated products into a specific bar or coin that a client wishes to purchase.

The barring fee is only charged if you want to convert your Pool Allocated holdings into physical metal to take out of storage.

If you elect to sell back your holdings for cash, no barring premium is charged – simply the buyback price of Pool Allocated Silver at the time of your transaction will be applied.

The barring fee is the difference between the selling price of any physical bullion product and the selling price of the same number of grams of Pool Allocated Silver.

For example, assuming the current selling price of 1kg of Pool Allocated Silver is $1,585.00 and a 1kg Silver Cast Bar is selling (retail price at the time of transaction) for $1,710.00, the barring fee for a 1kg bar would be the difference between the two: $125.00.
